Developing equitable frameworks for the future of cities.
Project Scopes
Throughout both my academic and professional career I have had the chance to interrogate and re-define what it means for a city to be “smart”. These projects engage with the use and deployment of technology in a way that aids in improving city infrastructure and the lives of residents who interact with it. Technology not only makes cities more efficient, but they make them more accessible, greener, and more equitable if planned for correctly. My projects and personal interest intersect technology, design and justice in a way that reimagines how we contextualize smart cities.
ESI Center for Future Cities Compendium Report
For my summer project at Econsult Solutions, I developed this compendium potfolio and gathered all recent and archived reports and studies that related to a smart city framework. This framework was later developed by me and defined as Livability, Mobility, Investment, and Government.
EV Summit Presentation at TMACC EV Summit

Schuylkill River Trail LED Installation Pilot Project
With my two team members, we developed a pilot project named, SRT LED: an interactive public art installation that will illuminate poorly-lit pathways and underused spaces along Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River trail (SRT). Sensor-activated LEDs respond to visitors’ movements with dynamic lighting effects, contributing to placemaking and engagement along the city’s riverside.
Changing the Narrative on Gunshot Detection Technology In Philadelphia
In this final presentation, my team members and I decided to take a challenging technology and mitgate its potential harmful impacts on communities of color. We propose an AI gunshot detection technology that priortizes public health and safety rather than carceral punishment.
